TO ALL AMERICANS IN OHIO
It is not easy to leave family and jobs and stay away from home for such a long time!
It’s been 30 days away from homeland in a place where we didn’t know what we would find… And what we found were beautiful cities, wonderful people and life styles completely different from anything we could imagine about America.
Meet people from countries we've never imagined to meet before - Guatemala, Venezuela, El Salvador, Palestine, Iran, South Korea, Canada, Haiti, Mexico, German and many others - made we feel like traveling around the world.
In each city we visited we could feel the service above self in each person, regardless they were a Rotarian or not. The willing to host, make we feel comfortable and make our days in this country the time of our lives many times brought tears to the eyes of both SGE members and the Americans themselves.
Every cultural, professional or leisure program was perfect and if you didn’t do more it was due to lack of time.
We’ve found out that, although a farmland, Ohio is a part of the history of the United States and we are proud to witness that YOU are proud of it.
All GSE Team wants to thank Rotary International, RID 4570 and RID 6600 team and also the rotarians and non-rotarians for letting us live such remarkable moments both in our personal and professional lives.
The people and the places will never be forgotten and friendships built along the way will last forever.
Misson was accomplished and we’ve already begun to practice RI motto for 2010-2011 period:
BUILDING COMMUNITIES and BRIDGING CONTINENTS.
Thanks to governors Alcio Athayde (RID4570) and Jim Heinrich (RID6600) and their teams and good luck to governors Antonio Coutinho (RID4570) and Dave Dayne (RID6600) and their teams.
Find all the videos (more than 100) of this trip @ www.youtube.com/ige4570 and wait for the more than 1.000 pictures and a special surprise for you all!
Looking forward to hearing from you regularly!
Leonardo Allevato, Ana Elisa, Juliana, Ana Clara and Diego
